We are currently working on revamping the store page to display all the comics we have for sale, so that we can directly offer our books to our customers.
Ka-Blam and IndyPlanet seem to be having issues that prevents them from adding our books in a timely manner. While Ka-Blam themselves seem to print and ship the comics out rather quickly, their online store IndyPlanet seem to lack any sort of real customer support or care. Sadly, this doesn't just impact customers access to digital copies of the comics, but physical copies as well, because IndyPlanet is where our customers must order both the physical copies as well as their digital counterparts.
I have submitted multiple variants of issue one of 'The Adventures of Chibi-Chrissy' so that our customers could purchase one of the variant covers, but it has been over a year now and the comics still have not been added to their IndyPlanet store! We refuse to let our customers wait for years before they can purchase our comics.
Sadly, Issue No. 1 cover A was the only one accepted. Cover B by Tori Gray and the Website Exclusive by Chris McDonald and Jay Boyd have apparently been lost in processing. Grant it, they should have been accepted faster, since they were only submitted for print sales. Cover A was supposed to be the only one available for digital sales, since the interior of the book is all the same across the cover variants.
Ka-Blam themselves has issued statements about how long it takes to submit books for their store, stating it takes them time because they have to encrypt the digital files so they can't be shared between buyers, to try to prevent pirating. While we understand that, it really should hold no bearing on submissions for physical only sales. We have a sinking feeling that, with how long it's taking for these books, that any new comics we make will never be listed.
We have waited long enough and have been looking into an alternative for getting our comics into your hands. So, we are going to revamp the website shop and offer the sales directly through us, rather than waiting on Ka-Blam to sort their IndyPlanet issues out. This means you'll order directly on the site and we will handle getting the products to you. We're hoping digital copies can be mailed out via a download link directly and as for physical copies, we will just order those from Ka-Blam on our end as well once payment is received. It'll be more work for us, but, if we can get these books to you faster, it'll be worth it!
Working hard,
Chrissy.
