Yeah, here we go!
Since things are at a stand still on my comics because of my scanner situation, (and my kids being out of freaking school all summer!!) I've been thinking about moving my focus back onto other unfinished projects. (once summer is over that is ..... ) Currently I have a slew of Flash Projects that have been started AGES ago. Some were started before I went to college on the computer of a friend who owned flash and some were started while in college using the program on the school's computers.
The unfinished projects cannot be finished because...
A. I have no copy of Adobe Flash to work on them and have no access to my college where I could work on them on the schools computers. (As Alumni I could do that ... but we moved!!)
B. The Flash Alternative programs that are free cannot open the FLA files associated with Adobe Flash. I would have to start all those projects over again from scratch. (Or, port all the graphics somehow...)
So ... I am left with somewhat of a conundrum. Adobe has made their programs somewhat more affordable to use in the form of subscription use. I could subscribe to Adobe Flash professional for $19.99 a month but I would have to sign a one year contract.... I would have to pay 50% of the unused months of the contract at any time should I break contract with them before the year is up. With so many unfinished projects laying on my external hard drive (and a lot more stuck in my head) would it be worth it to make that leap? Or should I just scrap all those games/animations and focus on my comics?
Hmmm. It's a tough decision. I shall have to think on this more.
Luv,
Chrissy.
